Ford, Parshall & Baker offers a full range of business law services to small and medium-sized commercial enterprises throughout Missouri. As part of our commercial law practice, we handle the debt collection process for businesses such as hospitals, doctors' offices and health care clinics. We also handle debt collection and past-due accounts for other businesses throughout Missouri, including credit card and insurance companies.
Our primary goal when we conduct business collections is to collect as much as possible of the full debt owed, as efficiently as possible. We want income flowing into our clients' accounts receivable departments with little delay. In each instance, we analyze the debtor's financial resources and employment position and decide which strategy has the best chance of success.
When our business collections clients request this strategy, or when we believe it will result in a positive outcome, we engage in negotiations with debtors in order to develop payment plans that meet our clients' needs to garner income.
Under other circumstances, our lawyers move immediately to file a civil court petition to seek a judgment against the debtor for the full amount owed. As soon as the petition is granted, we take action to garnish wages, place liens against real property and move against any other nonexempt assets.
The attorneys of our business collections group have more than 10 years' experience working in business collections throughout Missouri. We have ample experience managing the debt collections process efficiently and effectively for our business clients.
